1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of lifesoperatingsystem.com, any profile or review you submit, and any Life's Operating System program or service you purchase or use.

By checking a box or otherwise indicating acceptance when the Terms are presented to you, creating an account, submitting a profile, purchasing a program, or continuing to use a service after being presented with updated Terms, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

We have written these Terms in plain English on purpose. If something is unclear, contact us before you agree to it.

2. Who we are

Life's Operating System is operated by Lifesoperatingsystem LLC, an Illinois limited liability company, at 502 West Clark Street, Champaign, Illinois 61820. When these Terms say "LOS," "we," "us," or "our," they mean Lifesoperatingsystem LLC. When they say "you," they mean the person using the site or service.

3. What we offer

The Free Personal Review: You tell us about the situation you are in. We respond with a personalized review. It is free and there is no obligation to buy anything.

The Bench: An ongoing self-leadership relationship at $49 USD per month. It renews monthly until you cancel. There is no fixed finish line.

The 90-Day Program: A fixed 90-day self-leadership program built around one fight you are working through. The price is $99 USD per month, billed in three monthly installments. By enrolling, you are making a 90-day commitment and authorizing all three scheduled payments, subject to the seven-day refund right in Section 11. The program does not automatically renew after the third payment.

High Love. High Standards. Coaching: Direct coaching that is individually scoped and priced. It may require a separate written coaching agreement covering the specific engagement. If that agreement conflicts with these Terms, the separate coaching agreement controls for that engagement.

All prices shown on the site are in United States dollars unless we say otherwise.

4. Who can use this

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a program, submit a profile, or create an account. LOS is built for adults working through adult situations and is not designed or intended for children.

If you are under 18 and struggling, please talk with a parent, guardian, school counselor, or another trusted adult. If you are in crisis, thinking about harming yourself, or in immediate danger, use the crisis resources in Section 6.

5. What Life's Operating System is — and is not

Read this section carefully. It matters more than the billing.

Life's Operating System is a self-leadership program built from Creg McDonald's book, writing, experience, and the Standards of Life's Operating System.

LOS is not therapy, psychotherapy, counseling, psychiatry, medical care, mental-health treatment, or crisis support.

We do not diagnose conditions, provide treatment plans, prescribe medication, or replace a licensed professional.

LOS is not legal, financial, tax, investment, medical, psychological, or other licensed professional advice.

Using LOS does not create a therapist-patient, doctor-patient, attorney-client, fiduciary, or other licensed professional relationship.

Nothing in LOS should be used to delay or avoid appropriate professional care.

If what you are carrying needs a licensed or qualified professional, please use one. Choosing professional help is not a failure and does not mean LOS was not for you.

6. If you are in crisis or immediate danger

LOS is not monitored around the clock. Do not use it as an emergency or crisis service, and do not wait for a response from us if you or someone else may be in immediate danger.

If you are thinking about harming yourself, contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988, or use 988lifeline.org. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

7. Artificial intelligence and human review

Some LOS responses are created with the assistance of artificial intelligence that is configured and grounded in Creg McDonald's book, writing, approved LOS materials, and the Standards of Life's Operating System. The purpose is to help the system respond in a way that reflects LOS, but an AI-generated response is not Creg McDonald typing in real time and is not a licensed professional.

Artificial intelligence can make mistakes, miss context, or produce information that is incomplete or inaccurate. Use your own judgment and do not rely on an AI response as professional advice or as the sole basis for a major medical, mental-health, legal, financial, safety, employment, or other high-stakes decision.

At launch, personalized AI-generated coaching responses are reviewed by a person before they are sent. Transactional messages, reminders, confirmations, and similar administrative communications may be automated. If our human-review practices materially change, we will update our disclosures so that what we say matches how the service actually operates.

8. What you tell us, and how we use it

What you write to us about your own life remains your content. By submitting it, you give LOS the limited permission necessary to collect, store, transmit, analyze, and process it so we can provide, operate, protect, and improve the service in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your personal coaching content. We do not publish or quote your personal story without your permission. We may use de-identified or aggregated information to improve LOS where it is reasonably designed not to identify you.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, which service providers may process it, how artificial-intelligence providers may be involved, and the choices available to you. The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms.

We may preserve or disclose information when required by law, legal process, or when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights or safety or address an imminent threat of serious harm. Do not rely on LOS to monitor for emergencies or to intervene in real time.

9. Billing and payment authorization

Your first payment is charged when you enroll in a paid program. Before you submit a paid order, the applicable recurring or installment terms should be shown clearly as part of checkout.

The Bench: By enrolling, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge the payment method you provide $49 USD each month until you cancel.

The 90-Day Program: By enrolling, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge $99 USD at enrollment and two additional monthly installments of $99 USD, for a total of three payments, subject to the refund right in Section 11. The 90-Day Program is a fixed commitment, not a month-to-month subscription, and it does not renew after the third payment.

If a payment fails, we or our payment processor may retry the charge and may suspend paid access while an amount remains unpaid. We will not charge a new price without giving you advance notice where required by law.

10. Cancellation and ending future billing

The Bench: You may cancel at any time through the online cancellation method we make available, through a cancellation link in a receipt if provided, or by contacting us. Cancellation stops the next recurring charge. You keep access through the period you already paid for.

The 90-Day Program: You may request the seven-day refund described in Section 11. After that seven-day window, the 90-Day Program remains a 90-day commitment and the remaining scheduled installments are still due even if you stop using the program. The program ends automatically after the 90-day term and does not renew.

High Love. High Standards. Coaching: Cancellation, rescheduling, refunds, and payment obligations are governed by the separate coaching agreement when one applies.

Nothing in this section limits any cancellation right that applicable law does not allow you to waive.

11. Refunds

If you are within seven calendar days of your first payment for The Bench or the 90-Day Program and decide it is not for you, contact us and request a refund of that first payment.

For the 90-Day Program, a timely seven-day refund request also ends the 90-day commitment and cancels the remaining scheduled installments.

After the seven-day window, we do not provide refunds for used or partial billing periods, and the remaining 90-Day Program installments remain due, except where applicable law requires otherwise. For The Bench, you may cancel future billing at any time under Section 10.

Refund terms for High Love. High Standards. Coaching are governed by the separate coaching agreement when one applies.

12. Delivery and access

LOS services are delivered online, through the website, email, text messaging, video or telephone sessions where applicable, and related digital tools. Unless a product page says otherwise, there is nothing to ship.

You are responsible for maintaining a compatible device, internet access, and current contact information. We may change the tools we use to deliver the service as the platform develops.

13. Payment details

Payments are processed by Stripe or another disclosed payment processor. LOS does not store your full payment-card number on its own systems. Payment processors handle payment information under their own terms and privacy practices.

14. What we do not promise

We do not promise a particular personal, professional, relationship, financial, health, business, educational, or other outcome. Results depend on your choices, participation, circumstances, and factors neither of us controls.

We also do not promise that the site, AI features, email, text messaging, integrations, or other technology will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at a particular moment. We may maintain, change, suspend, or improve parts of the service over time.

Our commitment is to be clear about what LOS is, to operate the service in good faith, and to correct problems we discover when reasonably possible. That is a commitment, not a guarantee of a particular result.

15. Our intellectual property and your permitted use

To the extent protectable by applicable law, all right, title, and interest in Life's Operating System materials are owned or controlled by Lifesoperatingsystem LLC. This includes the book Stay A Little Longer; the Life's Operating System name and framework; the Standards; The Friday Message; guides; questionnaires; intake forms; coaching frameworks; prompts and system instructions; approved response libraries; compilations; website content; software; databases; logos; trademarks; and other LOS-created materials.

We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use LOS materials for your own personal participation in the service. That permission does not transfer ownership to you.

Unless we give you written permission, you may not republish, sell, sublicense, teach as your own, commercially exploit, scrape, systematically extract, reverse engineer, copy a database, share paid access, or use LOS materials to train, benchmark, develop, or improve a competing artificial-intelligence, coaching, training, or content product or service.

If you want permission to use LOS materials beyond your personal use, ask us. We would rather have the conversation than make the rule harder to understand.

16. How not to use the service

Do not use LOS to harm, threaten, harass, abuse, exploit, defraud, or impersonate another person.

Do not use LOS to violate the law or the rights of another person.

Do not submit malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with security, or misuse the platform.

Do not share paid access or account credentials with someone who has not purchased or been granted that access.

Do not use automated tools to scrape, copy, harvest, or extract LOS content except where we have given written permission.

17. Suspending or ending access

You may stop using LOS at any time, subject to any payment obligation that continues under Sections 9 through 11.

We may suspend or end access if you materially violate these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, misuse the service, threaten or abuse people connected with the service, create security or legal risk, or if we reasonably determine that continuing the service would be unsafe or inappropriate.

If we end a prepaid service for reasons that are not your breach or nonpayment, we will refund the unused prepaid portion where appropriate. This does not cancel amounts already owed under a fixed commitment because of your own breach or nonpayment, except as required by law.

18. Services and companies we rely on

LOS relies on third-party companies for functions such as payments, hosting, email, text messaging, analytics, artificial intelligence, customer relationship management, and other infrastructure. Their role and their handling of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy and, where applicable, their own terms and privacy practices.

We are not responsible for the content or conduct of an unrelated third-party website or service merely because we link to it. If you leave LOS and use another service, its terms apply to that service.

19. Changes to the service or these Terms

We may update LOS and these Terms as the service develops. When we update the Terms, we will change the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide notice in a reasonable way, such as by email, account notice, or a notice on the site.

Where applicable law requires renewed consent before a material change can bind you, we will seek that consent. A change will not retroactively take away a right you already earned under a completed refund or cancellation request.

20. Our responsibility and its limits

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LOS is provided on an “as available” basis. Except for the specific commitments stated in these Terms, we disclaim warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, perfectly accurate, or fit for every particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lifesoperatingsystem LLC and its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, or similar losses arising from use of or inability to use LOS.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of LOS will not exceed the amount you paid LOS during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or, if you paid nothing during that period, $100 USD.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that applicable law does not allow to be limited or excluded. Nothing in these Terms changes the basic point in Section 5: LOS is not a substitute for professional care, and decisions about your life remain yours.

21. Illinois law and where disputes are handled

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except to the extent another law must apply and cannot be waived.

Any lawsuit arising from these Terms or LOS will be brought in the state courts located in Champaign County, Illinois, or, if federal jurisdiction exists, in the federal courts serving Champaign County, Illinois. You and LOS consent to jurisdiction and venue in those courts, except where applicable law does not permit that requirement.
